Chart China New Facility Grand Opening Oct. 18, 2005, Chart China held Grand Opening Ceremony for the accomplishment of it’s new facility, which broke ground on Jan. 11 this year. Top leaders of Chart headquarter and high level officers of local government cut the ribbon together on the ceremony. Representatives of well-known multinational gas suppliers also attend the ceremony.
From breaking ground to grand opening, it only takes 10 moths for Chart to accomplish this huge project with Chart’s high efficiency management. Three of current existing operations, one in Zhangjiagang, one in Changzhou, plus CEM, which Chart acquisitioned in May, 2005, will be moving in the new facility, to share same technologies, same management, and expand the production capacity, eventually to provide better products and service to customers of domestic and Asia regions. CHART ANNOUNCES ACQUISITION OF CHINESE CRYOGENIC EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURER CEM Garfield Heights, OH – May 17, 2005 – Chart Industries, Inc. (OTC: CIDI.OB) announced today it has completed the acquisition of Changzhou CEM Cryo Equipment Co. Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of CEM International (Asia). Established in 1995, CEM is the premier cryogenic trailer supplier in China , servicing the major international gas producers and local customers. CEM also exports cryogenic industrial gas and LNG equipment to Australia and New Zealand . Chart's and CEM's manufacturing facilities are both located in Changzhou , 160 Km west of Shanghai , near the Yangtze river .
Eric Rottier, President of Chart Asia Inc., commented, "The CEM Cryo acquisition significantly expands Chart's position in China . CEM's products and customers align very well with Chart's business. Both companies focus on the major industrial gas producers and distributors. CHART INDUSTRIES BREAKS GROUND ON NEW CHINA MANUFACTURING FACILITY CLEVELAND, OHIO - January 27, 2005 - Chart Industries, Inc. (OTCPK: CIDI) announced that construction is underway on a state of the art manufacturing facility in Changzhou, China. This development, which is to take place over two distinct phases, will result in a 25,000 square-meter-plant that occupies 17 acres. Phase one of the project, scheduled for completion in September 2005, will deliver a facility of 12,000 square meters, immediately enabling Chart to triple its current capacity in China.
"Chart's expansion in Changzhou, China represents an extensive commitment to our customers and will give Chart the opportunity to expand our product offering. We intend to manufacture a broad range of products in China in the next 5 years. China's gas industry is currently expanding at a rate of 15 to 20% per year, making it the largest market for new capital in industrial gas. Chart's introduction of this new manufacturing center is designed to serve this burgeoning customer base with its industry-leading line of products.
